Original Numa Numa

Original Numa

Okay, since I posted the Navy one I thought I should post the original. Simply because there might be other people out there as naive as me who don't know where this stemmed from in the first place. This started as just a video for a sight like YouTube. It became a national (maybe even international) sensation. I have to admit it is pretty funny.

I just had to show this. My mom found it through her Navy Mom's site and with 2 siblings in the Navy it was just too much fun to watch. Enjoy!

Nate's Theories on Life

Nate's Theory on Ice Cream: "It has ice in it and that's what melts it."
Nate's Theory on Cookies: "No, Mommy. We can't put shortening in the cookies. We don't want our cookies to be short."
Nate's Theory on Wetting Pants: After hearing Nate run from the bathroom downstairs to his bedroom upstairs then come down in different shorts. "Nate, did you wet your pants?" "But you didn't see me."

Happy Belated Birthday

Happy Belated Birthday to my beautiful sister Maren. By the time she reads this she will probably be in Norway. May God watch over and give her safe travels. I hope the birthday was wonderful. We love you, Maren!

Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil

My deaf monkey would not perform for the camera but rest assured that off camera her fingers were in her ears. :)

The Kitchen

So this is the infamous kitchen. There are still some things to go up on the walls and we are planning on repainting the trim and doors (with the exception of the red insets) white. Looks pretty good doesn't it. :)

This would be the new backsplash behind the oven. Basically just the tiles from the floor. But on the wall. I voted for smaller squares on the backsplash but was apparently outvoted.

...

Hands clasp, arms lock.
Deep breath, eyes meet.
Note by note feet step;
Bodies move across the floor.
Skirts swishing, shoes tapping.
Hips begin to rock and sway.
He leads, she follows.
He holds her in a firm embrace.
Blood pulses with the rhythm;
Cheeks flush from the heat.
Guide her, twirl her.
Move him, tease him.
Feel the music come alive.
Gazes hold, breathe deep.
As the song comes to an end,
Wait for it to start again.

Busy

I'm keeping this post short and sweet. A few of you know that the reason for Lexi's and my silence is that Lex has been home and we've been working on home improvement projects. These are just 2 of them. We pulled up the tile in the bathroom upstairs and put new tile down. We pulled down the wallpaper in the entire upstairs hallway, stairway, and downstairs hallway and repainted it all. This was the best shot I could get of the walls. We painted the stripes with the same color, different gloss paint. I'll put more in a different post but am not really feeling like posting right now. Just wanted to do my "job" and post pictures.
